The main focus of my research is on factors related to the patient, therapist, and therapeutic relationship that impact the effectiveness of psychotherapy. I have extensively studied the effectiveness of various psychosocial interventions. Social interaction, emotions, and their psychological assessment are also my areas of interest. Clinically, I am specialized in emotion-focused psychotherapy, in which I am qualified as a therapist, supervisor, and trainer. I am also an occasional columnist for publications in the field.
